Almost Friday?

Well, I've got dinner in the oven so don't have a lot of time, but I wanted to write and just let everyone know that I'm still here. It's been over a week since I posted a regular public update, so just thought I'd take a couple of minutes to let everyone know what's up.

We spent the fourth here at home and I threw some brat patties on the grill. If you guys have never had brat patties, you don't know what you're missing! Imagine the meat of a brat in the form of a hamburger. They're really good. I opened a can of Bushes barbecue baked beans, and I bought myself some German potato salad. Jim doesn't eat potato salad, so I didn't have to share that. Oh, and I made the brownie recipe to end all brownie recipes! It was easy, quick, and absolutely wonderful! I'll post that recipe in another entry for those of you who want quick and easy. Let's just say that I will never be making brownies any other way again. And, they're not even from a box this time! SMILE!

So now I'm still trying to get my brain back on track after the long weekend. tomorrow is Friday, but I'm having a hard time adjusting to the short week, and even just waking up. For whatever reason, I've been really super tired these last couple of days. Maybe I just need a weekend to recover or something.

Well, my timer is about to go off so I'm going to post this. I'll write up the recipe here in a couple of minutes and post that too. Later.

I'm feeling that tiredness. Its a shame to get a short week and still feel absolutely exhausted! Last night I passed out about two hours before my normal bedtime thinking I would wake a little earlier, but I woke up only 3 minutes before the alarm went off. I guess its the heat or something that's so draining.
