How Long?

So, anyone want to place a bet on how long I'll be able to hold out before I
break down and turn on my heat? It's November 7th, and I haven't needed to
turn on the heat once this season. I tend to be really hot much of the time
so the cold kind of feels good, but I'm sure there's going to come a time
when even I get too cold. I crawl into bed every night and it's pretty
cold, but by the time I wake up in the morning I've got at least one, if not
both cats curled up either next to me or on top of me and I completely
forget how cold it actually is. It's not like I have to pay for the heat or
anything, but as I've written here previously, turning on the heat is kind
of like admitting that winter is coming, and I'm just not going to do that
until I absolutely have to!!!!

Just please don't tell me I'm going to have to walk around with icicles dangling from my hair. *HUGS*

Maybe, just for you, I'll actually consider turning on the heat. SMILE! Of course, if you'd take a cute cuddly kitty onto your lap you wouldn't have to worry about being cold. Hmmph!!! *HUGS*

My husband broke down for me. I can hold out a long while as we have oil heat and it costs a fortune now.

I'm just across the lake and mine has been on for weeks. I hate turning the heat on, but I was freezing! Does it count for anything that it's only set at 64?

I had to laugh about the part about the cats in your post. When we lived in our rental house the furnace broke. We didn't realize it right away. Sure, it felt a bit cold, but every time you sit down there's at least one little furry living heat pad in your lap. Sleeping, there are at least six pressed against you. Even when the heat is on, it always feels cold when you first get out of bed or out of the shower...DAYS we went wondering why it felt Extra Chilly when there wasn't a cat before one of us realized we hadn't heard the furnace kick in in quite some time...
*shakes head*

You know, I was thinking to myself, oh gosh....not another pole? I think whoever showed [livejournal.com profile] brucetola, the Poll Creator (http://www.livejournal.com/poll/create.bml) created a monster! LOL! I'm totally just giving you guys a hard time. It's what I do and hopefully, it makes you laugh. .
