I'm just across the lake and mine has been on for weeks. I hate turning the heat on, but I was freezing! Does it count for anything that it's only set at 64?
I had to laugh about the part about the cats in your post. When we lived in our rental house the furnace broke. We didn't realize it right away. Sure, it felt a bit cold, but every time you sit down there's at least one little furry living heat pad in your lap. Sleeping, there are at least six pressed against you. Even when the heat is on, it always feels cold when you first get out of bed or out of the shower...DAYS we went wondering why it felt Extra Chilly when there wasn't a cat before one of us realized we hadn't heard the furnace kick in in quite some time... *shakes head*
