I wish it were that simple anyway. I've got a lot of things that I want to try to get done today before I leave for Wisconsin tomorrow morning, and don't feel like doing any of it. I just want to sit and read books all day, but I've discovered that sitting and reading somehow causes things not to get done around here. Interesting how that works. I've still got packages to wrap, but I want to do it all at once so I've been putting it off. I'm bringing several things with me to Canada next Monday, and those things I can't wrap in case customs decides to randomly select me for a luggage check or whatever, so I want to measure for the paper and pack that so that I can wrap those things once I get up there. Bruce's present is one that I'm incredibly excited about though, and I can't wait for him to see what it is. Once he's opened it, I'll put a link to the Amazon.com page for anyone who's interested. He keeps thinking that I'm going to slip up, but he's not the only one who can keep a secret. GRIN!!!! The gifts that are going with me to Wisconsin can be wrapped though, but I'm waiting on one thing to arrive via UPS today. The problem is, UPS status is still showing billing information has been received, and today's the day when it's supposed to arrive. Oh well, stranger things have happened I suppose.
In other news ... Well, there really isn't any I suppose. I want the apartment to clean itself, I want the laundry to just get up and walk itself to the washer, but somehow I suspect that without my help, none of that's going to get done. Oh well, once I'm awake maybe things will be easier.
Wow!!! One surprising thing though, at just before 7:00 it was 11 degrees! I don't think it's been above 0 here in close to two weeks give or take. Of course, apparently the warmer temperature comes at a price. They're also predicting 3 to 5 inches of snow between now and 6:00 PM this evening. I'd love to know exactly how much there is out there already. But, we're supposed to get up to 15 degrees before the temperatures start falling into the single digits by afternoon, so I'm impressed. They're not predicting any new snow for tomorrow around here though, so if that continues, I'm hoping that my bus won't have any problems as long as we don't hit anything crossing Minnesota. I sure do wish those temperatures were Celsius though. I could handle 15 degrees Celsius right about now. GRIN!!
Well,
masterofmusings should be at work fairly soon, and I want to see how badly I beat him at trivia, so I guess I'm out of here for now.
