Noticeable Progress

Hi everyone. I've got to go spend an hour with the diabetic nurse this morning so this will be short, but I had to come in here and write. When you're supposed to be working toward a goal, it's always nice to see positive results, in a way that really shows that progress has been made. In the past nine months or so I have lost a total of 34 pounds, and eleven of those pounds have been since I talked to my doctor at the beginning of January about the diabetes. When I stepped onto the scale this morning and heard my number I realized that I'd hit, and surpassed, a personal goal that I'd set for myself; kind of a marker on my way to where my doctor wants me to be. I've got 9 pounds to go to get where she says I need to be to possibly eliminate the diabetes, but 9 pounds after the 34 shouldn't be too bad. And, I've done it without giving up the things that I like to eat.

Anyway, I've got to run so that I can go wait for my van, but I needed to post this before leaving.

Hey, that's awesome! I don't even want to think about what I might weigh now. I've been such a bad girl about my diet. Hehehehehehe! But hey, that's great! It calls for a celebration. Get yourself something good to eat. Preferably without catchup? hahahahahaha! Anyway, I'm happy for you. Take care.

You go, girl! I'm so proud of you, and I say that in all sincerity. I know how challenging it can be to make those types of changes, and WOW, you're really working hard to get to where you are! Keep up your excellent work, and know that I am cheering you on. And, should there ever come a day when you need to stop, take a breather and cry, I will do my best to be there with you on skype or however I can help.
