Sort of an Update

Hey everyone. I wanted to take a little time to update tonight since I actually don't have anything else going on. I'm sitting in bed working on catching up with my friends list and things. I really want to try to catch up so that I don't have as much reading to do when I get back home on Monday afternoon.
Things have been going really well. We hardly had anyone come to the training suite today though. Yesterday things were a little slow as well so I got the chance to go down to the exhibit hall. I really wanted to take a look at the brand new Victor Stream. The new Book Port still isn't out, and the new projected date that I heard is January of next year. With the chance that NLS is going to be starting to allow patrons to download audio books, I wanted a player that would be able to handle these books. This player will work with those books, as well as with MP3, OGG, and WAV. Then, it'll read text files, RTF, and HTML. The voice is extremely good, and the size is great. At this point it won't play Audible books, but that, along with several other options, will be coming shortly. Updates will be downloadable as they are with the Book Port, and will be free. So, I'll have my unit hopefully by the end of the month. I still plan to use my BP for several things, especially until the Stream can play more of the formats that I use now. But, I liked the look and feel of the unit, and I'm looking forward to being able to work with it. Oh, and it comes with a case.
In other news, this is an extremely great place to have the convention. There are so many restaurants and shopping places within walking distance, and some of these places have incredible food. This morning I walked to Hells Kitchen for breakfast. I looked through their menu and had a really difficult time deciding what I should get. I ended up getting their sausage bread, oatmeal, and yogurt. Keep in mind that all of this stuff is homemade. I hope to get back there at least one more time before leaving so that I can try their pancakes. They sounded really good.
Anyway, I'm tired so I think I'm going to end this and crash early. I'll write more at some point; probably tomorrow since I'm done by 1:00 PM. I want to write about my little adventure yesterday since I accidentally left my GPS in my room. Later.
