Can I Wine Now?

Hi everyone. Well, I can't be totally sure at this precise moment, but I
believe that the air conditioning in my apartment is dead. It's been
sounding funny all day, and I noticed that my apartment was getting kind of
warm even with it on. I went and turned it off and now it won't turn back
on. It sounds really bad running on fan, and the AC part just won't do a
thing.

Okay, now here's fast service! I called and talked to someone here in the
building. She came in to look at it and agreed with me that it most
definitely wasn't working. She called Sears and they said they could come
out on Friday to fix it. With my asthma, I really can't afford to be
without air that long. So, they swapped my dead unit for one that's in the
vacant apartment next door. So, as I finish writing this, I'm busy getting
cooled off again in air conditioned bliss!

That stinks that you're having AC problems. You're not the only one with technical difficulties, as I've recently discovered one that wasn't supposed to come around this quickly, but I shall be posting about that one pretty soon so I won't wine in your LJ lol. But you mentioned how Sears couldn't come out and fix it until Friday. If I recall from our little Skype conversation, you leave at 11 on Friday for ACB. So what are you gonna do? Are you gonna see if your friend can come over there and wait for the Sears people to come should they not be there fixing the AC unit when it's time for you to leave? I'd hate for some technology glitch to ruin your trip, as I know how much you've been looking forward to this!

Even I, who can squeeze a quarter unitl a bugger comes from George Washington's nose, turned on my AC for a couple of the hot, hot days this week...today was MUCH better!
