hugs, sometimes I don't think those hearing tests are realistic. Sure you can hear beaping in a quiet room with a thing stuck in your ear. But You can't hear on a busy street with trafic, people yelling etc. arg, I hope your dr has some ideas. Maybe he/she can send you to an ENT. I'm so sorry you are dealing with this, sigh.
