Okay, so today I'm having a really hard time concentrating. I was just informed that I will be doing a second presentation next week, and I'm supposed to be working on that but I've got this problem. I've got this really weird pain in my stomach and it's going into my lower back. Sitting is really uncomfortable, but I can't seem to find any other comfortable position either. I'm hoping this will go away sooner rather than later, but right now it's pretty intense. Later.

Well, the day is pretty much over and I'm glad. The pain in my stomach and lower back isn't as bad, but it's still there, and I'm really tired. I don't know what it is, but I'm still hoping that it'll go away on its own. It's right in the middle and goes straight back into my back, although it doesn't seem quite as intense, so we'll see how things are in the morning. Last Friday I was supposed to go out and work with someone but had to cancel. I purchased some mushroom caps that were stuffed with sausage and cheese. I assumed that they were pre-cooked, and all I'd need to do was heat and eat. Well, I was definitely wrong. I ate two of them before I realized that what I was eating wasn't just extra soft stuffing, it was uncooked sausage. So, those went right back into the oven, but I decided to stay home that afternoon because I really wasn't feeling all that good. And I hope I didn't already write about that. [livejournal.com profile] johnmill79 says that he's getting a little empty in the head, but I've been suffering from Empty Head Syndrome for quite a while now. So, if you already read my mushroom saga, sorry to make you read it again.

I spent a good part of the day today working on getting a form submittal to work through our web server. I've got the script, but it's not working. I've got code coming out my ears, and I can't go any further until tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully they can get whatever's not working right fixed on their end so that I can make this whole thing work. We need this form to be available to people, and sooner rather than later. SMILE!

In other news, my memory shipped all ready yesterday, and it's actually supposed to be delivered this evening. I've got my desktop machine shut down in preparation so that I can open it up and put them in quick once they get here. The machine's still not working right, and it's either the lack of memory or something else. I guess we'll find out soon enough what it is though, huh?

Later:
The memory thing is a rather interesting story though, and I just don't understand it. I gave the guy at Dell my address. I live on X Road, not X Drive. Road and Drive, at least the last time I checked, don't even sound remotely similar. Unfortunately, the company that's delivering my memory, (neither FedEx or UPS by the way), has me living on X Drive. I called them earlier in the day because I saw that it was already in Milwaukee, but the delivery date was shown at the 19th, and I wanted to know why it was going to take so long since it was all ready pretty much here. That's when we discovered the address discrepancy, and I gave the lady my correct address and was told that my package would be delivered tomorrow. About a half hour later, I got a call from this same company saying that they'd be sending my package out for an evening delivery tonight to X Drive. I said no, it was Road, and that I'd already talked to someone about making that switch. Well, it's almost 10:00 PM, so either the package didn't make it out tonight, or they're looking for a street that doesn't exist. GRRRRR!!!!

A couple of days ago a friend turned me on to a new flavor of Crystal Lite. Well actually, it's not even Crystal Lite, it's a Wal-Mart brand so it's cheaper. It's Cranberry Apple, and it has become my new favorite flavor. I can't drink straight cranberry juice because it's just way to sour for me, but I can handle it when it's mixed with another flavor. So far it only seems to be available in the singles, but I'm hoping that it will start to be available for the regular pitcher also because it is, in my unqualified opinion, the absolute best flavor yet.

While checking my list of RSS and Podcast feeds in IE7 tonight I saw that Jodi Picoult had a new podcast out. I listened to it and she was talking about her new book, "Nineteen Minutes". I didn't think it was out yet, but I went up to Audible and was excited to see that it is, in fact, out, and available as a download. Playing time is just a little over 21 hours so I'm extremely excited. I had a credit available, so the book is on my hard drive waiting for the transfer to my Book Port tomorrow sometime.

Speaking of Book Port, I have one more thing to say. I guess it's my day for rants so sorry guys. I've stayed on the Book Port list for quite a while so that I can see announcements from APH staff and things. Unfortunately, most of the staff has gotten off the list because of people who can't seem to be able to follow list guidelines and things; I've pretty much gathered that there's no moderator. So today there was this big discussion about Larry's announcement last night and a lot of people are saying that they think the new BP features aren't worth it since the speech isn't changing, so on and so forth. I've started to really keep a low profile on many of the lists I'm on because I never know for sure if a fellow list member may eventually become a client, (this has happened and I was really surprised). So, 99 percent of the time I keep my mouth shut. For those of you who've known me a long time you know how difficult this is for me. Maybe that's why I like doing this so much because I can say what I don't say on the lists, and if what I'm going to say is really different I'll make it a protected entry. So anyway, these people are complaining and saying that they're not going to upgrade. Fine. Don't. If you're happy with what you have I'm happy for you. But, as they've said multiple times, the current unit has reached it's full potential. Yes, the new one may not be offering much that's different, but that's right now. I personally want the ability to continue expanding, and having the ability to access new types of files as they become available. But my question is this. Why is it that some people just complain no matter what? They complain if something isn't included, but if you include whatever it is they want they'll still complain because it's not exactly the way they wanted it. It just drives me crazy!!!!!!

Okay, end of rant. I guess I need the weekend, or a really long vacation. Personally I think the weekend will come first. SMILE! Well, I suppose I'm going to get out of here for now and hope that my memory comes early enough in the morning that I can get it installed before I have to start working on the presentations again at 9:00. Oh, and before I forget, the problem I was having with K1000 yesterday was a bug, and a patch was released today that fixes it. Way to go KESI! Good night everyone.
