Hmmm... I think your stories about how people sometimes percieve VIP's is very interesting. I am not totally blind but I have had times when people have gotten the wrong ideas about what I can and can't see just because they know that I am visually impaird. Most of the time I am just amused by when people act stranger then they should in certain situations conserning me. I like hearing your stories and others because someday I want to write books about VIP's and other people with disabilities just living their normal every day lives, which for some reason seems to be such an odd thing to some people but which I don't think it should or would be so odd if there were more movies and books portraying people with various disabilities in a more positive light... rather then the victims they think we are. We aren't victims, we're people, get used to it everyone. And I was once in an advocasy group where we were talking about wearing shirts that said 'Just Ask...' because people often assume things and end up doing or saying the wrong things... but if they would just ask us then we would tell them; yes we need help, no we don't... and a whole lot of other things. Well those are just my thoughts, I hope you don't mind them too much.
