Yikes. I had heard that the regular cloth mits could be washed, and then another site said they shouldn't be. I did learn a lesson though. Don't leave one near food I am pouring. LOL, since they are supposed to be wiped off (as I discovered), when something really sticky gets on them, wiping them off isn't going to work. Thankfully all washing did to them this time was that it shrank them a bit which is fine since my hands are small. I like mine though. I've never felt awkward with them at all, though when i tried a silicon mit Mom bought, I could not grip anything.
