IMPOSSIBLE CHEESEBURGER PIE
Jun. 25th, 2006 04:38 pmWell, I said yesterday that I was going to try this recipe last night, and if I liked it I'd post it. So, here it is. It was definitely not what I expected, but it was good. It definitely wasn't the pot pie thing that I thought it would be. If you don't like quiche I would still recommend this. I'm not a fan of eggs, but this really doesn't taste weird or anything. I made a couple of changes, primarily because I don't have any kind of pie pan in this entire place. So, I doubled the recipe and added an extra 10 minutes to the cooking time. Oh, and I substituted those nasty onions for mushrooms. Much better! SMILE! So, here goes.
IMPOSSIBLE CHEESEBURGER PIE
1 lb ground Beef
1 cup Onion, chopped
1/2 TSP salt
1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 cup Milk
1/2 cup Bisquick Baking Mix
2 Eggs
Preheat oven to 400°F
Cook onion & ground beef; drain. Stir in salt.
Spread into a greased 9" pie plate.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Stir remaining ingredients in a bowl until
blended. Pour over ground beef mixture.
Bake for 25 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean.
