I am so with you on this one. I even tried AVG so I know what I'm talking about here. That's the thing, AVG is one of those programs that lulls you into a false sense of security. It doesn't see anything, and it updates itself all the time, so you're gonna think hey, this is ok, we're all good. But then all of a sudden you get a virus that AVG doesn't have any definitions for and you're kinda screwed. I definitely paid for Nod 32 and I love it. It's the best antivirus software i've ever used. Norton was great til it got bulky and slowed my system down. AVG was free and it did the same thing. But Nod 32 seems to work just fine. On this laptop it does slow things down a bit while it's scanning, but i'm usually asleep while it's doing it so it's no big thing. But any program that does not recognize 35 infestations isn't worth having. People on these lists onnly know AVG because others told them it was good, or it was the quick and easy program their technicle advisor told them was good so they went on their recommendations. Doncha just love it? I agree though, the silliness over losing AVG needs to just quit. LOL
