Unbelievable!!!

Hey everybody. Okay, so I'm procrastinating yet again, but this is worth it. I just purchased my round-trip bus ticket for Minneapolis! And, the total cost was lower than I thought. You get two reservation numbers, one for each way of the trip, so each seat is charged differently. My seat from Milwaukee to Minneapolis was $8.00, and my seat from Minneapolis to Milwaukee was only $1.00. There was a 50 cent processing fee, so my entire round-trip fare was only $9.50! Right now, that would probably buy two gallons of gas. So yes, I'm excited! This is way cool!

Anyway, back to work, but I just had to tell everyone.

Cool indeed, but the bus is still the bus. *G* Interestingly, I took a ride on the good old Grey Dog last weekend, and somewhere in the 24 or so hours between the time I booked my trip and when I actually boarded the bus, the fare went up. All things being equal, I'd still fly. *G*

I don't like to travel by Greyhound if I can help it. This is a different service, and I've been told that it's a lot cleaner than the Grey Dog, and the people are more willing to help. I'll only have to be on the bus for about 5 hours, so it won't be too bad. And, I'm fairly sure that it's pretty much non-stop. Flying would be nice, but it'd be pretty ridiculous to fly such a short distance in my case. Hmm, just for kicks though, I wonder what it'd cost me. I'll have to check; not that I'm going to change transportation modes now, but it would be interesting to see what it would cost. SMILE!

Nice new pic there...and wow, that's cheap!

Planning ahead pays off...

Yeah, I thought it was about time to change the picture. That one's old though; from February of 2004 when cally was still small. I need to get the picture that was used on my birthday cake scanned in and have someone look at it to make sure it looks right and then I'll be able to use that one.
