Ah, wouldn't that be nice. You know, blindness wasn't a big deal for me when I was a kid. I dealt with it and did not really think I was different until I got older and wanted to do things on my own. You know... going places without having to have someone take me. So yeah! Driving is my one wish as well!
On a completely different note, did you see Good Morning America a few months ago when they featured a doctor who came up with a way to restore a little vision for some people with a genetic condition? I looked it up and am still confused as to whether that was just for people who have Retinitis Pigmentosa or if it could be done with other genetic conditions as well. I e-mailed someone who works near this doctor because I have a very rare condition called Retinal Renal Dysplasia but never got a response. Man, if that is something that could help me, that would be so cool!
