I am extremely thrilled this morning. Every so often I keep going back to Megabus.com to check on bus fare to Minneapolis for this year's ACB convention. I was really happy to see that they've added a new route there. I may have written about this previously but I can't remember. Originally, we were going to have to ride from Milwaukee down to Chicago, (which is in the wrong direction), and then go to Minneapolis. The transportation there was pretty much going to take all day because of the layover in Chicago, putting us in Minneapolis at about 8:30 PM on Friday the 29th. The new route though is direct from Milwaukee to Minneapolis. Each way will be about 4 hours rather than ten or more, and instead of getting in at 8:30 we'll be there by a little after 4:00 PM. I still can't purchase tickets, but at this point it looks like it's only going to cost $32 round trip for both of us. No, that was not a typo. To say that I'm thrilled doesn't even begin to express my current excitement level. Okay, yes, I'm a geek. But, I missed last year's convention, and I really want this one to happen. The really cool thing is that now, not only is this cheaper than Amtrak, but it's also faster. Go Megabus!
